Therapeutic Riding

Our goal is to improve physical, emotional, and social functioning through participation. That is why our students interact with carefully selected and trained horses. This way, each session can work to improve the following:

  • Balance
  • Posture
  • Flexibility
  • Sensory Awareness
  • Endurance
  • Confidence
  • Self-Esteem
  • Self-Discipline
  • Motivation
  • Attention Span
  • Integration With Non-Disabled Peers

Dressage RDA Simulator

Our fully interactive simulated horse is lovingly named Buster Brady. It is only 1 of 8 state-of-the-art training tools in the United States. The simulator moves much like a living horse and is highly preferred by most of our riders.

Buster Brady helps improve skills and balance by offering immediate feedback on seat and riding positions. It sits in a climate-controlled environment and can be enjoyed all year long by our riders. Our technology is ideal for the following:

  • New Students
  • Advanced Riders
  • Riders With Sensitivities And Disabilities
  • Students Who Exceed The Weight Limit Of Our Horses

The Equicizer

The equipment was first developed in 1982 for the rehabilitation of its inventor. The wooden practice horse was later named the Equicizer and is known to improve strength, flexibility, and fitness.

Today, we offer the use of our custom-made Equicizer, which the students at Jessie Baker School named “Stella”. The motion of the Equicizer is controlled solely by the rider, which promotes core muscle and large muscle strength.
